Day Twenty One - Mon 19th Sept

Today was the first day for Ward to go to Uni. I had to drive so I did. I managed quite well actually - if I do say so myself. Leah caught the bus to school and then I went and dropped Ward off. It was then Lucy and I together for the day. We went straight to the library but didn't realise it opened till 10am. Lucy and I walked around downtown Bellingham which was okay. Once the library opened we went down to the children's library for storytime. There were heaps of people there and it was really full. Lucy was a little bit overwhelmed but she loved being with the kids. Lucy met another little girl around her age named 'Charlotte'. There was a a beautiful stain glass window in the library. It was funny after story time Lucy and I went and read some books. I started reading this book called Tim's Dad and Papa. I thought how cute because we called my Dad Papa. I said to Lucy 'look a book about Dad and Grandpa' as I was reading it I then realised it was about Tim's 2 Dads. I felt a bit stupid after that - oh well. I stopped by the aquatic centre after the library and then got a bit lost. After Lucy's sleep we had lunch on the patio. I just had to take photos, the sun was so warm and it is so pretty sitting out there. It is also really peaceful. As I sat there I felt really grateful to be so blessed.

I picked Leah up from school today and took her to her first playdate over here. The Teacher sat Leah across from a girl named Sophia. She is so lovely. A really down to earth, nice girl. Leah went and played at there house and so I went to the YMCA to sign up. It is great. It is only $47 a month for me and the girls and we have access to the gym, pools, activities and a giant rockwall. Ward met me there after Uni. Leah was invited to have dinner at Sophias. For Family Home Evening we all went down to the clubhouse to play table tennis. It was heaps of fun. It was a great day!
